The Lodge is centrally located in the village of Lake Louise and is a 4 km drive or bike to majestic Lake Louise and a 4 km drive to Lake Louise ski resort. Our Lake Louise lodge location is your “base camp” in the Rocky Mountains for a variety of activities year round including skiing at Lake Louise, hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, canoeing, snow shoeing and of course, outstanding photography opportunities.
Mountaineer Lodge consists of two buildings with 78 spacious hotel guest rooms and suites ranging from standard rooms to two bedroom suites for families or couples travelling together. Most of our guest rooms have a beautiful view of Mount Temple, Mount Fairview or the famous Lake Louise ski resort hill, Mount Whitehorn. All rooms in the Main Lodge feature a microwave and mini-fridge. Rooms in the original building are exterior access. While we do not have an elevator, we do offer wheelchair accessible rooms. The Mountaineer Lodge offers complimentary continental breakfast with every stay (starting June 1, 2013), complimentary parking and an array of room amenities including free wireless internet, clock radio, in-room coffee and tea station, bath amenities, and hair dryers. After a thrilling day outdoors come back to your “home base” in Lake Louise, Alberta for a relaxing soak in our indoor hot tub or steam room. The Mountaineer Lodge is pleased to provide a smoke free atmosphere.
