Getting to Lake Louise

Getting to the Lake Louise, Alberta and the Canadian Rockies is part of the adventure. Driving Directions to Mountaineer Lodge

From Calgary International Airport, Alberta (200 km or 2 hours drive)

  • Head south on Airport Road NE
  • Turn left onto Barlow Trail NE, Turn left onto Airport Trail (signs directing to Hwy#2)
  • Take Deerfoot Trail North to Stoney Trail West #201
  • Take Exit #36 towards Highway #1 / Trans Canada Highway to Banff
  • Continue on Trans-Canada Hwy 1 to the Lake Louise exit
  • Turn left towards town of Lake Louise
  • Turn left at first 4-way stop onto Village Road, follow to Mountaineer Lodge
  • Across the street from the Petro Canada Gas Station

From Calgary, Alberta Canada  (167 km or 1.75 hours)

  • Take the 16th Ave W exit out of the city
  • 16th Ave W becomes Trans-Canada Hwy 1 upon exiting the city
  • Continue on Trans-Canada Hwy 1 to the Lake Louise exit
  • Turn left towards town of Lake Louise
  • Turn left at first 4-way stop onto Village Road, follow to Mountaineer Lodge
  • Across the street from the Petro Canada Gas Station

From Jasper, Alberta Canada  (231 km or 2.5 hours)

  • Drive South on Highway #93 (Columbia Icefields Parkway)
  • Exit East onto Bow Valley Parkway to Lake Louise
  • Exit right into Lake Louise
  • Turn left onto Village Road and follow to Mountaineer Lodge on your right
  • Across the street from the Petro Canada Gas Station
