 Mountaineer
Lodge offers an intimate work setting, a more flexible
environment, which allows for a good balance between work
and recreation. All our team members are given extensive on-the-job
training, which provides excellent preparation for the busy
tourist season. Everyone is given the chance for growth, and
learning of new skills. Newcomers will find a familial relationship
away from the workplace. The Mountaineer Lodge management
prides itself in providing one of the best subsidized staff
accommodations in the area, with a “home away from home”
atmosphere.
Being employed at the Mountaineer Lodge means getting the
chance to live and work in one of the most beautiful places
in the world. Lake Louise and the surrounding area have much
to offer those with an active interest in hiking, mountain
biking, cycling, whitewater rafting and sightseeing. Although
the village is isolated from the conveniences of a city, it
has much finer qualities for those anxious to abandon the
headaches of city-life.
We are a seasonal property and are looking for people to
join our team between May and October each year, for the following
positions:
Front Desk Agent – responsibilities
involve handling check-ins/check-outs, telephone calls and
reservations, e-mail and fax correspondence, guest services
(concierge), baggage handling, wake-up calls and daily accounting
Professional Room Attendant –
responsibilities involve basic guest services and housekeeping
duties, which include bed making, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning,
laundry and general maintenance
Housekeeping Supervisor –
responsibilities include management of housekeeping department;
supervision of 10-15 housekeeping employees; will be required
to train staff and do scheduling; duties include daily room
inspection, inventory control, laundry cost control, employee
evaluations, and gratuity distribution; some cleaning is expected
The Mountaineer Lodge does not operate a restaurant and will
not be able to entertain applicants looking for kitchen or
restaurant work. Only those with existing legal permission
to work in Canada will be considered for an interview.
